Most of the people of Medan are Christian, but in there are still many Medanvillagers who still believe in animism. There are also many people in Nias (where the children come from) who believe in animism. We found that there were children there who were given "magic"cloths or objects with the idea that it would protect them.
Mercy Medan Staff:
Jandri and his wife Welly are the caregivers for the home. They too used to be orphans. They have been serving Mercy Indonesia since graduating from High School.
