175 families, which were victims of the September 2009 earthquake in Palembayan, Padang have received relief. Mercy Indonesia and ACC World Relief have been working together to do what they can to help these people.
On 11 January, Mercy Indonesia staff Paul Saptanyo flew to Padang, where he was met by Rudy (a co-ordinator from Palembayan village) and Mario (staff in the radio station). Together they spent the day buying supplies.
The following day, they took two truck loads full of supplies and drove two hours to Palembayan. There they met the chief of the village and stored the supplies in his house.
On the last day, they spent the day handing out all the supplies to 175 families. Each family received, a mattress, underwear, and a kerosene stove.
Thank you to ACC World Relief for providing the funds, so that these people can start to rebuild their lives. The people are truly greatfull for the blessing, thank you for making a difference in these people lives. Thank you
