RESTORING HER DESTINY
It was about 11 am when I heard a woman
in front of the door loudly. At first, I thought it was my staff. I decided to
get out of my office and see what had happened. It was a girls fighting with
her boyfriend right in front of the Hope Center.
Yanti was forced by her boyfriend
to work be prostitute. She was bleeding when she asked me for help. She was
desperate for a safety place for counseling. She had been listening to 107,2
FM. That is the reason why she came to our hope center.
It was hard to understand her
life story. Yanti grew up in a moslem family in Jember city, East Java. She
went to Denpasar because someone promised her to give a good job with a good
income. But nothing is coming to reality. She was under children trafficking
mafia scheme. My heart was broken when she asked me "If God is truly
merciful and compassionate, why all of these things happened to me?"
I was speechless. The Spirit of
God moved in the silence. After praying, I gave her money for food and
accommodation. Yanti is only one among many girls in Bali trapped by mafia to
work in sex slavery. From then on we have been starting a new ministry called
House of Mercy. It is a woman shelter. A home for those who will find her
destiny and restore dignity. Thank you for 107.2. Dian Mandiri has build a
bridge for those who need the love of Jesus.
